Frequently Asked Questions

  • We work with primarily small-scale churches and concert spaces in NYC (50 to 100 attendees).

  • We suggest purchasing a service package at least three months before the desired concert date. If you decide to buy within less than three months in advance, you may increase the risk of not having a concert, and the final price can be significantly higher. In that case, a refund of 70% of the amount paid will be reimbursed within 72 hs after the cancellation confirmation.

  • Yes, you can. However, our goal is to make your life easier and save you time. It can be challenging and time-consuming to look for venues all by yourself, let alone to take care of all the logistics and moving parts involved in the process of making a concert happen. When you work with Novus NY, you leverage our knowledge of the inventory and our relationships with several venues built over years of experience as professional musicians in NYC. We take care of all the heavy lifting for you so you can have peace of mind to keep working on your Music.

  • Novus NY does not offer professional audio/video recording at this time. However, we have a partnership with a company called Musae.

Musae makes it possible to record and live-stream your concert regardless of the venue. Feel free to check them out: https://info.musae.me/nyc-broadcast

  • Yes. We promote all of our booked concerts on our social media channels, and we provide a ticket sales platform through our website, so concert-goers can easily purchase tickets. Also, we will pay a significant portion of the tickets sales to the featured musicians/ensembles, so if the venue is packed, chances are you will retrieve funds that may cover a substantial part of your initial investment.

  • Yes. In that case, we will refund 70% of the investment within 72 hours of the cancellation confirmation. The non-refundable 30% is to cover the time spent by our professionals to organize the concert. For instance, if your total investment was $1000.00, you will receive a $700.00 refund. However, we may consider issuing a full refund in a case-by-case fashion.

  • No. Tickets for all of our concerts are non-refundable.

  • When you purchase a service package, you pay the starting price listed on the website in advance. Right after that, our team will start working for you. Then, we will get back to you with some venue options for your concert and the price increase depending on the venue. For instance, if you buy a service package 1 with the starting price listed as $800.00, depending on the venue’s availability, we will offer you options like:

venue A: + $100.00 (you have paid $800.00 already, which means you will only need to pay $100.00 to confirm the deal).

    venue B: + $200.00 (you pay $200.00 to confirm)

    venue C: + $300.00 (you pay $300.00 to confirm)

As soon as you choose the venue (A, B, or C), we will send you the invoice with the amount we need from you to book the venue and confirm your concert.

  • In that case, there are two potential scenarios:

A: if a musician drops out before we book the venue, we put your concert on hold, and we give you some time to find another musician to perform at the concert. You can ask someone from your network to jump in, and we also advertise vacant spots for performers on our network. The invited musician will have to pay for their part of the package to perform at the concert. If we cannot find someone, you can proceed with the concert by paying a higher fee to change the service package from 3 to 2 or request a cancellation. You and the other musician will receive a 70% refund.

B: if a musician drops out after booking the venue, no refund is available. We will proceed with the booked concert, and you can invite someone from your network to perform at the concert. Since we did not offer a refund, the guest musician will not pay for the service package.

  • We can put your concert on hold until we find another musician to be part of the service package, or you can upgrade your package service from 3 to 4.

  • Yes. You will be the artist responsible for the concert, and all communications and paperwork will be related to you. Guest artists can perform without being charged as long as you are the main point of contact and you let us know at least 48hs before the day of the concert.
